Dr E. Edward Ward
A graduate of Auburn University in '77 and the founder/owner of Animal Care Hospital, Dr. Ward is a mixed animal practitioner with a special interest in equine medicine. From cutting edge Shockwave therapy to equine dentistry, Dr Ward was the first to offer PRP, laser therapy, Shockwave, digital radiography, in house clinical pathology, and laser surgery in the area. He's also the only licensed practitioner to process in house Coggins in Eastern Kentucky! Dr. Ward's expertise is known throughout the region and the client base continues to reach further into surrounding states. His hobbies include UK basketball, horse racing, and traveling with his wife, Patricia Ward.

Dr. Derek Caudill
A graduate of Ross University in '08, Dr. Caudill has been with Animal Care Hospital for six years and continues to serve our community as a mixed animal practitioner. His areas of interest include large animal and equine medicine as well as chemotherapy. His hobbies include grouse hunting/field trials, music, and showing Tennessee Walking Horses.

Dr. Mirissa J. Duncil
A graduate of Ross University in '14, Dr. Duncil is the most recent addition to the Animal Care Hospital team, joining us early in 2014.Her areas of interest include small animal and equine medicine, clinical pathology/advanced cytology, surgery and rehab/alternative medicine. Her hobbies include hiking, kayaking, and hanging out with her canine and feline companions.

Nina Stacy-Office Manager/Receptionist
Nina has been with Animal Care Hospital since the beginning and continues to brighten the day of everyone that comes in. She can help you with scheduling as well as product information. Her hobbies include cooking, crocheting, and gardening.

Amy Chaney- Vet Assistant/Groomer
Amy has been with Animal Care Hospital for nine years and is a wonderful animal caretaker for your babies while they're here. If Fluffy needs a bath or a quick haircut while visiting, be sure to let her know and she'll schedule a spa day for your pup. Her hobbies include crocheting, hanging out with her many canine companions, and shopping.

Kayla Koss-Vet Assistant/Receptionist
Kayla has been with Animal Care Hospital for three years and continues to help out here in any way possible. It may be that she checks you in for surgery or takes care of your babies while they're staying, but Kayla will always be there to help you out! She enjoys computer programming, her German Shepherd buddy, Bailey, and movies. |
